Crostini with pesto and sun-dried tomatoes

I would not dare to call it a recipe, it is just a very good combination of two ingredients, matched for a perfect balance. If you cannot find the sun-dried tomatoes, you can take Roasted tomatoes, I promise that it would be equally delicious.

Crostini with pesto and sun-dried tomatoes

  • 10 slices of baguette (0.6 in thick)
  • 10 sun-dries tomatoes
  • 10 tsp Pesto Genovese
  • Toast the slices until nice and golden on a dry pan or in the toaster
  • Arrange 1 tbsp of the pesto on the warm bread slice and top with the tomato
  • Garnish with basil leaf

I tried these crostini with different types of pesto, made of coriander, parsley or dill. The one I loved the most was the rocket pesto and the unbeatable favourite was Pestо Genovese. You can serve them as appetizers or as a light snack.
