Green peas pate with horseradish

Green peas pate with horseradish

  • 200 g fresh (frozen) green peas
  • 200 ml water
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 50 ml sour cream
  • 1-2 tsp grated horseradish
  • Black pepper, salt
  • Bring the water to the boil, add the sugar and salt, blanche the green peas for 2 min
  • Drain the water (reserve 50 ml) and place the green peas into the blender
  • Add in 50 ml water back to the green peas and pulse for 3-4 seconds
  • Cool down for a while, add in the sour cream, horse radish, pepper and stir well
  • Serve with the rye bread slices
Thoughts and Ideas

You can take low fat cream instead of 50 ml water. I used ready-made horseradish with vinegar.
