Prunes with liver pate

This appetizer takes little time to prepare. Made of humble ingredients it is a wonderful start of a festive table.

Prunes with liver pate

  • 250 g prunes, pitted
  • 150 ml red wine
  • 100 g liver pate
  • 2 tbsp chopped chive
  • In a bowl soak the prunes in wine for 1 hour or more
  • Make a lengthwise cut on one side of the prune
  • Stuff with the liver pate and sprinkle with the chive

You can take meat pate instead, but I prefer the liver. Take any wine of your choice for the soaking, Porto, Sherry, etc.
