Meat balls with apples in citrus and honey glaze

  • 500 g ground meat
  • 1 pack Knorr onion soup
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley
  • 1 medium-sized apple
  • 1 tbsp corn starch
  • Salt, pepper, spices

GLAZE

  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp orange juice
  • Peel the apple, grate using fine grating surface, squeeze out the excess of the juice
  • In a food processor combine the ground meat, apple and other ingredients, pulse several times
  • Place the meat to the fridge for 20 min
  • Form the balls, arrange on a baking tray covered with the parchment paper and bake for 15 min at 225C
  • In a bowl combine all ingredients for the glaze, brush the meat balls and return to the oven for 5-7 min
Thoughts and Ideas

Those mat balls could be a main course or as an appetizer, served on skewers with a dipping sauce.
I bake the meat balls in the silicone mould for ice. Spoon them with the ice-cream spoon.
