Wholewheat pancakes

Wholewheat pancakes

  • 500 ml milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 100 ml wholewheat flour
  • 150-200 ml AP flour
  • 1 tbs sugar
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder (optional)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • Sift 2 types of flour, salt and baking powder into a bowl
  • Whisk the eggs with the sugar, add gradually the milk
  • Whisking constantly add in the flour mixture to get the lump-free batter
  • Pour in the melted butter
  • Cover and leave for 30-40 min
  • Heat the oil (butter, drawn butter) in a pancake pan, ladle the mixture in and fry the pancake for 1-2 minutes on each side until nice and golden
  • Repeat to make further pancakes
Thoughts and Ideas

You can add more sugar if you like your pancakes to be more sweet. I don’t add the baking powder.
