Smoked mussels in spicy oil

Introduction

It is not so much a recipe, but rather an idea how to add a new flavor to the food and how to keep the product a bit longer.

Smoked mussels in spicy oil

  • 250 g smoked mussels, without the shells
  • 300- 400 ml vegetable oil (olive)
  • 5 - 6 cloves garlic
  • 1 medium-sized hot pepper
  • 1 bay leaf
  • Pinch of salt (optional)
  • 5-6 sprigs parsley
  • 4-5 black pepper corns
  • Place the mussels in a jar, add the parsley (dill)
  • Chop finely the garlic
  • Cut the pepper lengthwise, discard the seeds
  • Crush the pepper corns
  • Warm up the oil, add in the garlic, peppers and the bay leaf
  • Cover and allow to infuse until cooled down
  • Pour the oil over the mussels and place to the fridge
